Unisys wins WA software rollout
The Western Australian Department for Community Development has signed an agreement with Unysis West to replace its existing client information systems with off-the-shelf software.

Under the three-year contract with Unisys West, the Department will integrate a range of commercial products including Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM suite and Objective’s ECM suite.

The project, Assist, will be implemented progressively across the Department’s 84 office locations in three phases.

Once implemented, it will provide the Department’s 1700 staff with access to extensive client and electronic case file information across WA.

Assist’s executive sponsor, Judy Hogben, said the new IT solution will provide a range of benefits to staff.

“The Department’s 24 Hour Crisis Care Unit staff will be able to get a single view of the client showing the client’s full electronic file history and integrated case notes.

“Currently, much of this information is stored in several systems and hard copy files across the organisation,” she said.

The contract with Unisys West has an option to extend for a further two years.
