The Crunch: Windows 7 launch special

The Windows 7 launch 'party' took place at the National Maritime Museum in Sydney on Thursday morning.

Microsoft reveals it will spend around the same amount advertising and marketing Windows 7 as it did Vista -- around $500,000,000!

Some of that money has already been spent on television commercials that tout the security features in Windows, which even Microsoft executives admit are less than sincere.

Munir Kotadia talks to Jeff Putt from the Windows consumer team about why he made so much fun of Vista in his presentation; why it is so difficult to upgrade from XP to Windows 7; and how long XP can survive.

The Crunch is still in beta mode and we are trying to improve the show every week. If you have any comments or suggestions please use the talkback below or use Twitter: @mkotadia and @bengrubb.
