SC Awards finalists announced

By

The finalists for the SC Magazine U.S. Awards in the Reader Trust Awards categories are here, with additional finalists in remaining categories to be announced in January 2006.

As part of SC Magazine Awards U.S. program, readers were able to elect the finalists in each of 35 awards categories, which are sorted into eight groupings overall. This year's judges will then review the top five in each of these groupings to choose eight overall winners. Finalists have also been announced in both the Excellence and Professionals Awards categories, whose ultimate winners also will be decided by judges.

All of the victors will be announced during a dinner and ceremony at the RSA Conference on Feb. 14, 2006. During the SC Magazine Awards U.K., which is scheduled for April 25, 2006, in London, those winning the titles of Best Global Security Company and the Best New Security Solution will be announced.

The SC Magazine Global Awards program is the information security industry's biggest and most respected awards plan. It is a recognized mark of excellence for all finalists and winners.

The SC Magazine Awards 2005, considered the biggest event, has already been surpassed by the number of nominations received. While 2005 attracted over 1,000 product and service nominations from over 300 companies, this year's program has seen more than 1,300 product and service nominations from over 330 companies.
