Nuix appoints Jason Wilson as chief product officer

In the role, Wilson will be accountable for Nuix’s unified product strategy and roadmap including leadership of its Product, UX design and Documentation teams.

Wilson brings an incredible depth of experience as a product leader.

Most recently, he was the chief customer officer at Class Limited, where he was accountable for the end-to-end product and customer lifecycle with functional responsibilities across product development and UX design, customer engagement, analytics and sales. He held overall product P&L accountability across seven products.

Wilson told Digital Nation Australia that the first 12 months will be focused on getting to know the team and setting a clear vision and product strategy that delivers on our business objectives.

He said, “Like any good tech company, we’re looking for smarter, more efficient ways in how we design, build and deliver great software.

“We have great tech, smart people and an envious customer list, so I’m excited about the future and what we can achieve in the short term, but also start to look over the horizon. First stop is meeting our broad set of customers and listening to their feedback to develop a deeper understanding of their challenges.”

Prior to Class Limited, he held senior leadership roles in a range of different companies including the Commonwealth Bank, BT Financial Group, St George Bank and E*Trade.

Wilson broke down some of the reasons that attracted him to this role.

“Firstly, Nuix’s purpose centred around ‘finding the truth in a digital world’ was certainly motivating and inspiring. The real-life customer case studies and the role our software plays in helping them solve big problems is impressive. Secondly, being part of a new executive team and helping transform this business was attractive.

“I can see the potential in the people, the products and the markets we serve. Finally, I’m constantly curious. So I enjoy understanding how emerging new technologies can help Nuix evolve our products and solutions.”

Jonathan Rubinsztein, CEO at Nuix Group said, “We are delighted to have Jason join Nuix at this exciting time in our product development. Jason’s diverse experience in product leadership roles across a range of institutions and industries will undoubtedly benefit the Nuix business.

“We look forward to him helping to achieve our unified product strategy and delivering best-in-class technology for our partners and customers.”

Nuix customers include Airbus, Amazon, CommBank and Samsung.
