Japanese carrier NTT Communications will set up a third Australian point of presence in Perth for its ArcStar IP virtual private network (VPN) service in Perth.

NTT to set up Perth PoP

The company already has points of presence in Sydney and Melbourne.

There was no set date on the launch of the new PoP, other than "in the near future".

NTT started accepting applications to access the IP-VPN service from Perth today.
