The Northern Territory Government will expand its fleet of free wi-fi enabled buses in Darwin and Alice Springs next month.

Transport Minister Adam Giles said today that the number of equipped buses in Darwin would double from five to ten by "late March".

Three Greater Darwin bus interchanges are also equipped with free wi-fi.

Giles said that all Alice Springs public buses will also receive free wi-fi services from next month.

He said it was hoped that the rollout would "attract workers back onto the public transport system".
