Financial services company, Morgan Stanley executive director Cameron Barnsley will replace Mark Tayler as Temple & Webster’s chief financial officer (CFO).

The retail brand announced the news during its recent full year results [pdf].
Digital Nation understands Barnsley will officially take over the role early September with Tayler set to move into a different role within the company, more aligned with on investor relations and growth.
Speaking on the news, Mark Coulter said, “We are delighted to welcome Cameron to the Temple & Webster team.”
“Cameron’s experience in capital markets and advising companies on their growth strategies, both locally and internationally, will be invaluable in TPW’s next phase of growth.
“We’ve known Cameron professionally for years and know he’ll work seamlessly with the team, supported by Mark Tayler in his new position focused on IR and growth and long-term team member Chris Berner (deputy CFO),” Coulter said.
Barnsley spent roughly 16 years at Morgan Stanley in a wide variety of positions, most recently as executive director and head of technology for Australia in its investment banking division.
The move follows as Temple & Webster said its mid-term target is to reach over $1 billion in annual sales and progress its strategic goals, which includes building leading AI and data capabilities.
The company said its already seen "millions of dollars of cost base savings, and conversion rate improvements" due to the AI initiatives already live.
