Lotterywest is recruiting for new security leadership to oversee its “highly integrated” cyber systems and practices.
The Western Australia's lotteries commission’s cyber security was previously overseen by Paul Haylett in an acting capacity.
In a statement to iTnews, a Lotterywest spokesperson said the new CISO will be responsible for the development of the commission’s information and cyber security culture and resilience.
“This position plays a vital role in developing and maintaining technologically current, highly integrated and secure security architecture and business practices.”
Reporting to CIO Caroline Niewiarowski-Fish, the new CISO will also be tasked with overseeing security for adjacent agency Healthway, which fund sport, arts and health promotion projects and research in WA.
According to a job advertisement, the CISO will be tasked with “scoping, designing, evaluating, and reviewing end-to-end security solutions” and working with both Lotterywest’s cyber and IT teams.
