Lenovo aims for F1 pole position
Lenovo has announced that it will be supplying technology for the Williams Formula One racing team.

Williams engineers will use Lenovo PCs in car research, testing, development and manufacturing, as well as to analyse lap times and engine output.

The PCs will also be used trackside for racing analysis, mechanical adjustments and controlling rev limiters.

"Formula One provides an exciting platform to build Lenovo awareness in key markets worldwide, and to showcase our products and their reliability," said Deepak Advani, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Lenovo.

"This is a sport where cutting-edge technology is essential."

Away from the cars, Lenovo PCs will also be used throughout the Williams operation. "In Formula One, teams are highly reliant on PC technology," said Alex Burns, chief operating officer at Williams.
