Da Ros takes over the CIO role previously held by Brad Blyth, who recently made the switch to Ampol to lead a newly created team.

Da Ros joins Kmart from agribusiness Elders, where he started as CIO for the company in February 2021.

“We are pleased to appoint Vivian (Viv) Da Ros as chief information officer (CIO) for the Kmart Group," a retailer spokesperson said.

“Viv joins the team as a seasoned and experienced CIO and will form part of the Kmart Group leadership team, reporting directly to Aleks Spaseska, managing director Kmart Group from April 2025,”  they added.

Coincidently, Da Ros was also previously the CIO for Caltex from late 2016 to late 2020, leaving just before its rebrand to Ampol.

According to his LinkedIn, Da Ros' 30-year career has seen him work for international companies including AS Watson, Tesco, Dairy Farm and KPMG, as well as Woolworths.
