Classic Blue, an IBM Australia company, has sold its systems integration operation to Frontline Systems Australia.

Brenton Hodder, business unit executive at Classic Blue said the divestiture will allow Classic Blue to refocus its business as a provider of business resilience and continuity services in the market.

Frontline is a privately held Australian IT company with a focus on infrastructure, professional services and managed services.

A small number of Classic Blue System Integration employees will join Frontline to support the additional capability. The sale arrangement will also enable the integrator to partner with Classic Blue in taking business continuity to clients.

Steve Murphy, managing director at Frontline said; “this gives us an opportunity to grow our IBM business and to broaden our offering to include business continuity solutions.”

IBM Australia acquired Classic Blue in January, for its national reach, staff and SMB penetration within Australia.

Classic Blue operates business recovery facilities in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
