In an official LinkedIn post, the healthcare provider welcomed Winn to the organisation and to its executive leadership team.

“Brett has a strong history of leading the design, development and implementation of innovative technology, digital, data and cyber services at prominent healthcare organisations in Australia and Asia Pacific,” the company said.

It also shared a brief comment from Winn, noting he would drive “an ambitious agenda that focuses on enabling patient and clinician experience” at GenesisCare.

Winn comes from Healthscope, which operates a network of 42 private hospitals nationally.

He has also previously held health-related CIO roles at the likes of Blackmores Group and Medibank.

The succession of technology leadership at GenesisCare wasn’t immediately clear.

Healthscope - where Winn came from - has Matt Gurrie listed as acting CIO as of last month.
