Based on the trial win, Finjan requested that the court issue a permanent injunction preventing Secure Computing from continuing to sell the infringing products.
Finjan is also seeking enhanced damages up to three times the amount awarded by the jury, as well as attorneys' fees, court costs and pre- and post-judgment interest.
The jury awarded Finjan past damages of a 16 percent royalty rate for Webwasher software, eight percent for Webwasher appliances and eight percent for Cyberguard TSP appliances.
The total amount of past damages based on information available to the jury (US$49 million worth of software and US$16.75 million worth of hardware) totalled $9.18m.
However, the damages did not include sales of Webwasher products after 9 September 2007, and sales of Cyberguard TSP appliances after June 2006, Finjan said.
