Fill in the reader survey for a shot at $500

We're asking you to tell us how we can better serve your needs for a daily dose of IT news, commentary and features.

How do you want to get your news? Do you read us at your desk, on the road or elsewhere? Do you read us on your PC or your mobile phone? How do you find out about our stories: email newsletter, Twitter, RSS feed or are you a rusted-on reader who lives on our site and shares your thoughts in our forums?

What stories grab your attention? Are you interested in local or international news? How often do you read our features and reviews? What do want to see in our photo galleries? Do you want to watch videos? We're keen to know.

You can be confident we'll listen.

In last year's survey, 57.5 per cent of respondents demanded more local content so we beefed up our editorial team. Last year, about 40 per cent didn't of readers said the online jobs site didn't work for them, so we overhauled it. What do you think about or redseign and change of editorial mix?

You also told us that most of you have a hand in buying IT gear for your organisation and that 40 percent read iTnews to stay current with new and emerging technologies.

Here are a few other interesting facts the survey revealed:

-     By the middle of last year, most IT shops chose to stay with Windows XP

-     A quarter of you run Linux on your servers

It could be the best few minutes you'll spend this year if you're like Pedro Silva, our reader who last year won a $500 travel voucher.

Thanks as always for your support
