Entrust buys AmikaNow!

Identity and access management firm Entrust is to acquire email content company AmikaNow!.

A spokesperson for Entrust said it intends to buy AmikaNow!'s content scanning and analysis technology. The deal is expected to close later this year.


"This acquisition will give us capabilities to expand our solution portfolios," said Bill Conner, chairman and CEO, Entrust. "Entrust customers will benefit from a modular yet comprehensive secure messaging product."

Under the agrrement, Entrust will sell AmikaNow!'s products by the end of the year. The firm also intends to offer content analysis as a standalone product to customers.

Senior vice-president Kevin SimzerSome and AmikaNow! founder, president and CEO, Dr. Sue Abu-Hakima, will move to Entrust.
