ASX-listed internet and e-commerce company Destra has launched a music downloading service MP3 music network.

ASX-listed Destra has launched a new division, MP3 Music Network.

The division which Compelements Destra Media and Destra Business has also launched into New Zealand, UK, USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, France and Germany.

The new division's revenues will come from a combination of online advertising and new subscritption based on revenues from paid subscriptions, GM of Destra Media, Clive Mayhew, said in a statement.

The new business unit's core business will be MP3 Powered - a new multichannel MP3 downloading service capable of delivering content to 3G handsets, TV and web.

The TV delivery stream will be availale through Intel’s new Viiv digital entertainment platform.
