A 34-year-old contractor has fallen to his death while working on a communications tower at Crookwell in the NSW southern tablelands.

Emergency services including NSW ambulance paramedics were called to the site at about 8.30am this morning after reports that a contractor had fallen.

The site is on Redground Road, which runs between Crookwell and Binda.

Paramedics attempted to revive the man but he died at the scene.

“Police from the Hume local area command along with Safe Work NSW are investigating the incident,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“A report will be prepared for the coroner."
