Australian tech darling, collaboration and productivity application vendor Atlassian, has swooped on Georgetown, Texas based agile enterprise planning software developer AgileCraft, in a deal valued at A$234 million.
AgileCraft software maps strategic projects to the distributed work required for delivery, and assists enterprises with capacity planning and identifying bottlenecks, risks and dependencies.
The agile provider's software already integrates with Atlassian's Jira for data access, and also Microsoft Team Foundation Server and IBM RTC.
Anthem, AT&T, Dimension Data, Fideltiy and Nielsen all use AgileCraft and Atlassian software to build and manage master plans for projects and workstreams.
"With AgileCraft joining Atlassian, we believe we’re the best company to help executives align the work across their organisation - providing an all-encompassing view that connects strategy, work, and outcomes,” said Scott Farquhar, co-chief executive of Atlassian, which he founded with Mike Cannon-Brookes.
AgileCraft that was founded in 2013 will continue to operate as an independent unit after the Atlassian acquisition.
