Melbourne distributor Anyware Computer Accessories has signed up to push computer headset products from US-based vendor Plantronics.

Plantronics suggested in a statement that the signing targeted smaller resellers.

Anyware is a niche distributor offering a wide range of peripherals, hardware and multimedia accessories to resellers in Australia and New Zealand.

Chris Brown, national retail sales manager at Plantronics, said the vendor offered products suited for use in online gaming, chat, listening to music or telephony.

"Anyware is well set up to offer an efficient distribution service for Plantronics' headsets to the small reseller community," Brown said.

Plantronics' headsets were already available through a worldwide network of authorised Plantronics partners, retail and consumer electronics stores. The Anyware partnership would build on that, he said.

However, Plantronics would also continue to sell its headsets direct to its partners and larger consumer and retail outlets.

Anyware Computer Accessories said in a statement that it distributed an "extensive" range of computer accessories to wholesalers and retailers throughout Australia from its offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide.
