Angela Coble has been hired as Accenture’s new managing director of its technology advisory team.
She was previously the executive director business technology (CIO) and medtech transformation at Johnson & Johnson. Coble has spent the past 13 years at the health giant in a variety of IT based roles.
Coble told Digital Nation Australia that she is looking forward to bringing a decade of multinational CIO and CISO experience to help other organisations accelerate their transformation.
Announcing her new appointment overnight on LinkedIn, she said, “It’s time for a new career direction! This week I finish up with Johnson & Johnson.
“Time is our most precious gift, to give and receive, and I’ve been fortunate that many have shared theirs. Near to 5000 days Johnson & Johnson has given me the time to develop, grow and learn from amazing leaders. It’s been an incredibly impactful time for me and my family.”
Coble said she has embraced immersive learning and augmented self-development through courses, certifications and higher degrees to make sure she could serve people, patients and customers, striving to provide them with the leadership they deserve.
“After 5000 days, I can’t possibly thank everyone on a single post — the list is great; the memories greater; the words to be said, a dissertation,” she said.
“I’ll leave it with a resounding thank you to so many for allowing me to embrace my flow and to my most immediate J&J career guides, gratitude in volumes Jim Sarka, Susan Martin, Larry Jones and Tim Schmid.”
Coble said she has spent the last four weeks in deep work finishing the first draft of her doctoral thesis — a personal goal for her to have her monograph ready in October — and looks forward to leveraging that work to provide more opportunities for others and shape policy in Australia.
She added, “A memorable week filled with many smiles and much excitement as I hand over my research for review, take leave of a great company with much gratitude and many friendships, and start my next adventure as a managing director with Accenture in their Technology Advisory.”
