Paterson now sits as Catch.com.au’s new head of ecommerce and digital marketing, falling under the Wesfarmers’ digital division OneDigital.

Leaving the major athletic apparel and footwear corporation after two and a half years, Paterson thanked her Adidas team via LinkedIn.

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work for this fantastic brand, for the fulfilling experiences, and for the great people worked with,” Paterson said.

“I'm proud of the business transformation and achievements I contributed during my 2.5 years.

“As a leader, I believe my most important job is to build a capable team, to inspire, coach and drive accountability, to model playing and winning as a team, and to build unstoppable momentum.

"I know this team will take the business to greater heights, and I can’t wait to hear about their achievements,” Paterson said.

Digital Nation understands the Paterson's role reports to Steve Castledine, general manager adidas Pacific and the role is currently in the final stages of recruitment.

Executive search company, Emu stated via LinkedIn Paterson “joins the business with deep exposure to ecommerce and marketplace”.

“Prior to this role Emma was based in Singapore and was senior vice president at Lazada, part of the Alibaba Group. Lazada is one of the largest ecommerce platforms in South East Asia and was strategically important to Alibaba's international expansion.

“Emma was responsible for delivering strategic initiatives to strengthen key Brand Partnerships with; Nike, L'Oreal, Estee Lauder and Samsung and is incredibly well positioned to take on this newly created role at Catch,” the post said.
