New environment to support 750 users.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority plans to expand its HP TRIM records management environment by 100 seats to meet "current and projected growth in staffing."

The Authority said its current HP agreement allowed it to have 650 seats of three TRIM Context modules.

It has tendered for the provision of a new license key that includes 100 new licenses and for a new two-year HP support and maintenance agreement to cover the expanded environment.

The support agreement is expected to consolidate two existing agreements covering 650 users as well as cover the 100 new licensed users.

One of those agreements, covering HP TRIM Client and Workflow modules, is due to expire at the end of June. The other, which covers a third module, expires in October.

The new contract is expected to begin on May 1, 2010 and end April 30, 2012. It should have three options to extend by 12 months, ACMA said.
