Some 19,000 customers and 250 exhibitors attended VMware's VMworld conference at The Venetian in Las Vegas.
Those numbers caused some delays at registration...

Customers were expected to clock a total of 24,000 hours at VMworld's hands-on lab. The lab was powered by three off-site data centres - operated by Colt in Amsterdam and Terremark in Miami - in a demonstration of VMware's vision of the public cloud.
The exhibition area, dubbed the "Solutions Exhange", featured artificial gardens, basketball and volleyball courts.
Some 250 exhibitors were represented at VMworld's Solutions Exchange.
