Photos: CSC launches Sydney Security Operations Centre

Inside CSC's Sydney SOC.

CSC today opened its Australian Security Operations Centre in Sydney.

The SOC offers CSC's managed services/outsourcing customers a 24x7 security monitoring service, plus incident response. Analysts can also be hired for application security testing and vulnerability scanning.

The SOC will host 12 security analysts at a time - CSC has about 60 on staff for rotation through the 24x7 facility.

The SOC is one of five globally - the others considerably larger. CSC boasts that its five SOCs employ a combined 700 analysts.

Customers will hopefully never have to hold a crisis meeting in this situation room.

CSC customers in Australia include AMP, ANZ Bank, BHP, Bluescope Steel, Kmart, Rio Tinto, Toll Holdings, Woodside Energy and the Departments of Defence and Immigration.
