To tackle the switch to IPv6.

Resellers looking for a guiding hand to help them move their customers to the new internet protocol standard can turn to WhiteGold following its agreement with BlueCat Networks.

WhiteGold signs network protocol specialist BlueCat

Bluecat provides software and hardware for managing and tracking internet protocol address space used in a network.

Its internet protocol management solution integrates with Microsoft Windows DNS and DHCP for "simple" network management.

Business have been under increasing pressure to update their networks following the depletion of the IPv4 numbers earlier this year.

Jonathan Odria, sales director at WhiteGold, said BlueCat’s DDI technology made it easy to manage IP addresses across the entire enterprise from a single web-based interface.

"It also enabled organisations to plan for and integrate IPv6 networks,” he said.

Dean Bell, vice president of Asia Pacific at BlueCat Networks, said the partnership created "a solid framework for BlueCat to deliver value to the reseller community in ANZ and grow our existing customer base as the market accelerates on the back of IPv6".
