Vodafone has made a bid for the business fixed line market with the launch of a new service suite for its Vodafone Business Cap customers, Mobile Office.

Mobile Office provides a range of functionalities similar to those available through traditional office PABX for a premium on top of regular Business Cap charges.

The service allows users within the Business Cap’s user group to make mobile and conference calls between users, and retrieve voicemails, for free.

Mobiles can also be given the same extension as desk landlines and users also access lower cost international calls.

Vodafone general manager business, Edward Goff, said the new offering would encourage people to opt for mobiles over office desktop phones.

“It’s the catalyst that will help business cut landlines out for good,” he claimed.
