Sybase iAnywhere reinforces OneBridge
Sybase subsidiary iAnywhere has released an updated version of OneBridge, a component of its Information Anywhere Suite that delivers email and enterprise applications to mobile devices.

The company claimed that it has addressed security concerns by increasing interoperability between OneBridge 5.5 and a new version of its Afaria 5.5 frontline device management product.

Joe Owen, vice president of engineering at iAnywhere, explained that the new versions allowed the firm to deliver the "most secure, end-to-end email messaging solution on the market today".

"OneBridge is more secure than ever, with the ability to take advantage of Afaria features such as device-side and server-side security, in addition to on-the-fly encryption and decryption," he said.

The company has also made it easier to evaluate the product by simplifying installation and test-drive features.

Live access to corporate email and phone directories has been enhanced, along with improved compatibility with recently introduced mobile devices.
