Research In Motion (RIM) has put together a Blackberry package designed for the SMB market.

These businesses will be able to stay connected while out of the office with a RIM package consisting of BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds, BlackBerry Enterprise Server software and 5-user licences.

A recent survey by Ipsos Reid finds a typical BlackBerry user converts about an hour of downtime into productive time per day. 98 per cent of BlackBerry users agree that BlackBerry has improved their ability to stay on top of email, according to the research.

The average BlackBerry user reports that BlackBerry increases the efficiency of the teams that they work with by three per cent, it said.

“BlackBerry has provided mobility and productivity products for governments and corporates worldwide,” said Norm Lo, Vice President of Asia Pacific, Research In Motion.

“Now with an offer tailor-made for the SMB, users will have necessary features of an enterprise-class solution in a cost-effective manner.”

The offer is valid from now to end of December.
