Red Rock acquires Jigsaw Services

UXC business unit Red Rock Consulting has purchased JD Edwards service company, Jigsaw Services.

The acquisition was fueled by the ongoing consolidation trend within the ERP vendor community, Jonathan Rubinsztein, co-CEO Red Rock Consulting said.

“Oracle’s acquisition of PeopleSoft and Siebel are examples of that. Now customers are demanding similar consolidation from service providers. They want to deal with one organisation for licenses, solutions and services,” he said.

Jigsaw Services was founded in 2001 and rapidly became one the largest provider of JD Edwards software and services on both sides of the Tasman, Rubinsztein said.

Jigsaw recorded revenue of $12.9 million for the 2006 financial year and was expected to grow significantly in the 2007 financial year, he said.

Headquartered in Adelaide, Jigsaw Services’ 90 staff will move across to UXC, taking the total number of staff to 300.

Despite the influx of staff, Red Rock still had about 40 job roles still vacant, Rubinsztein said.

“These positions will be filled through job ads, etc. However, if we see an opportunity to acquire another company that is in a market or region which we haven’t covered then we will buy it to fill these positions,” he said.
