Opera Mobile 9.5 beta released

By

Opera has released the latest version of its mobile browser, saying that it adds many new features and will make developing for the platform much easier.

Announcing the beta release Opera called the browser, "a powerful foreshadowing of what is to come, this beta takes mobile browsing speed and features to a new level, complete with visual effects and a new look."

Included with the release is Opera's Dragonfly, its set of developer tools. The firm said that this would let developers debug JavaScript, inspect cascading style sheets, and view errors in an easy to understand way, as and when they appear.

End users should enjoy much faster speeds and improved performance, according to the firm, which added that it had much better support for standards, new usability features and an improved user interface.

For offline mobile browsing Opera offers a new save pages feature, which, with one click, will store any page to your phone.
