The software is also designed to work with Exchange Server 2003 SP2, which supports Blackberry-style push email to mobile devices.
Two versions will be available from August: SBS standard edition R2 has a US price of US$599 (£340), and the premium edition is US$1299 (£740). Microsoft says this is a 13 per cent price cut compared with the first release.
The software will also be available pre-installed on machines from Dell, Fujitsu Siemens, Gateway, HP and IBM.
