Metro Trains buys Mincom software

New deal.

Metro Trains Melbourne has agreed to buy enterprise work and asset management software from Mincom.

The rail operator said the software would help it "streamline preventative maintenance and management of its fleet of 150 trains, 211 train stations and 830 kilometers of track".

It would also assist in workforce planning among its 3,500 staff.

The Metro consortium included Hong Kong's MTR Corporation and Australia's John Holland Group and UGL Rail.
