Korean government hit by Trojan

Hackers have penetrated computer defences of South Korea’s state agencies using a Trojan horse sent through China.

According to Korean press, the National Cyber Security Centre reported that the Trojan affected 64 computers at six government agencies.


The Korean Atomic Energy Research Agency, the Agency for Defence Development and the Korean Institute for Defence Analyses were among those infected by the Trojan

The email contained the Peep Trojan, designed by Wang Ping-an, who was recently arrested in Taiwan.
