Financial and human capital management software company Workday recently announced Jo-Anne Ruhl’s promotion to managing director and vice president of Workday ANZ.
Ruhl joined the company in 2018 and has been responsible for the growth of Workday ANZ’s mid-enterprise and customer experience divisions. She has also held leadership positions as VP application sales ANZ at Oracle and managing director – Pacific at Infor.

According to David Webster, president, Workday Asia Pacific and Japan, “Jo-Anne’s ability to build high performance teams and deliver on strong customer and business outcomes perfectly aligns with leading our ANZ business into the next phase of its growth. It is always a pleasure to promote from within and Jo-Anne is ideally positioned to partner with our customers on their digital transformation journey.”
Ruhl replaces Stephen Jack in the role, who has been the ANZ managing director for over four years. Jack will continue with the company as a director, assisting Ruhl in the transition.
“As I take on this new role, I see an even greater opportunity to partner closely with our customers, as they look to deploy innovative finance and HR solutions to support their needs in the changing world of work,” said Ruhl.
In a Linkedin comment on a post congratulating Ruhl on her promotion, Monica Roig, director, international commercial sales at coaching and development company Red Points, and former head of APJ deal management at Workday said, “Best role model ever, best boss, an example to many and personally and absolute pleasure to have worked with [Ruhl] and her team!”
"I'm so excited to take on this opportunity at Workday, leading a strong and dynamic team and continuing the growth of the ANZ business,” said Ruhl.
Key Workday customers include The Warehouse Group, Carlisle Homes, Chorus, Aesop and Swyftx, as well as more than 50 percent of the Fortune 500.
