It contains tips on how to recruit and retain qualified information security specialists and includes a list of online resources. The booklet also comprises details of the job functions and possible career paths of typical information security experts.
As companies are placed under increasing pressure to protect their IT systems, the role of information security professionals becomes increasingly invaluable. Eddie Zeitler, CISSP, executive director, (ISC)2, said: “Hiring first-rate information security staff is critical to mitigating risks that can destroy a company’s reputation, violate privacy, result in the theft or destruction of intellectual property, and even endanger lives.”
