A hacker who stole contacts from British Prime Minister Tony Blair and published them online has been threatened with jail.

Hacker Trick faces jail over Blair email hack

Junaid Hussain, 18, was the ringleader of Team Poison and used the alias Trick during a string of hacks against governments and corporate organisations.

Hussain stole about 60 home and email addresses and phone numbers of Blair, his wife and family, and details of other British Members of Parliament after breaking into the personal account of a former aide.

He also placed more than 100 prank calls to Britain’s counter-terrorism hotline.

The Sun reported Hussain admitted conspiracy and computer charges and was granted bail until sentencing next month. Judge Peter Testar told Hussain he should be “under no illusions” he could go to jail.

Eve Kay, the aunt of the aide and Queensland resident confirmed last year to SC the authenticity of the stolen address book.
