Gotalk and the Australian Communications and Media Authority will meet in the Federal Court again in July following the first directions hearing today.
In a brief appearance before Justice Flick, it was ordered that the next date for directions hearings be 16 July at 9.30am.
ACMA alleges that Gotalk - via two overseas call centres it retained - made "numerous breaches of the Do Not Call register" between August and November 2007.
Gotalk has accused ACMA of wasting the court's time and taxpayer money over an issue it claimed was already dealt with by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
The telco said it had entered an enforceable undertaking with the ACCC to resolve the issues and paid compensation to affected customers.
ACMA has declined to comment on the potential link between its case and the ACCC's investigation.
