Police have arrested a 19 year-old German hacker who claims he managed to control the local domain of eBay.

Reports state that the teenager redirected German auction-goers from the ebay.de site to a different domain name server with a
technique he stumbled accross on the internet.

He later tried the redirection technique on other websites including web.de, google.de and amazon.de.

eBay was unavailable to comment on the matter.
