F-Secure will provide a trial version of Mobile Security 3.3 UIQ on selected Sony Ericsson UIQ devices. According to both companies cooperating closely in mobile security for highly connected computing devices is a must.

“Having seen the increasing demand for mobile security solutions from mobile operators…we have responded with products designed to secure all the major open smartphone platforms at present,” said Jari Heinonen, vice president at F-Secure APAC.

“As a result, we are well positioned to continue to expand our security solutions offerings to meet the growing needs of the market."

According to F-Secure, Mobile Security 3.3 for UIQ combines integrated antivirus and firewall functionality and adds to the already available range for Symbian S60 operating systems and Windows Mobile.
