Dumped Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz has branded the search firm's directors as "doofuses" in an interview that could see her forfeit up to $10 million in termination fees.

Bartz told Fortune Magazine in an exclusive interview that the board "f---ed me over" when it fired her by phone this week.
She accused chairman Roy Bostock of reading her dismissal statement from a legal script.
Bartz also said Yahoo's directors showed a lack of patience in her effort to turn its fortunes around, caused in part by the criticism levelled at the company in 2008 after it emerged that directors had turned down a lucrative takeover bid by Microsoft.
"The board was so spooked by being cast as the worst board in the country," Bartz told Fortune.
"Now they're trying to show that they're not the doofuses that they are."
A CNN report said that the comments put her termination payments at risk.
