Swedish telecommunications giant Ericsson has signed its first accredited service partner in Australia.

Ericsson Australia has signed Melbourne-based consultancy Zamro International to supply project deployment and recruitment services. Zamro will plan networks, integrate software, design systems, install equipment and provide other integration services.

Zamro will be the telecommunications vendor's first local accredited service partner.

Carmelo Zampaglione, CEO at Zamro, said both companies were similarly committed to jointly producing customer support and quality offerings.

“Zamro is a business that's ahead of its time. Supported by a small team of expert staff and effective technology systems, we have positioned ourselves as a niche player in a highly specialised market segment,” Zampaglione said in a statement.

Zamro won an award last year for overall business excellence in the Victorian suburb of Port Phillip. The company also made the finals in the last year's Telstra Small Business Awards, in the Cisco Systems business category.

John Murphy, network implementation services GM at Ericsson, said Zamro had a “long-standing” relationship with Ericsson.

“Zamro's strong alignment with Ericsson's business and market strategies and [its] ability to meet our business requirements made Zamro an obvious choice as our first accredited service partner,” Murphy said.
