The Concordia Project has launched today in a bid to drive interoperability between The Liberty Alliance, Microsoft and OpenID digital identity technologies.

Concordia aims for digital identity harmony
The project's stated goal is to ensure the "development of a ubiquitous, interoperable and privacy-respecting internet identity layer".

Concordia represents a "significant turning point" in the collaborative development of identity management technology, according to The Liberty Alliance, by allowing rival groups and users to develop open standards that facilitate interoperability.

Concordia is open to all individuals and organisations. Full details can be found on the Concordia Project wiki.
