ICT recruiter Candle will spin out the part of its business that looks after preferred supplier agreements (PSAs) for an undisclosed number of large firms into another section of parent company Clarius.
The change will see "these clients serviced under a different delivery model within the Clarius brand", according to executive general manager Linda Trevor.
"This will enable the business to better meet the volume requirements of these clients and focus on service levels and quality,” Trevor said.
“It also means that the Candle business will be able to more strongly focus on SME clients and further establish its position as a leading specialist in IT recruitment, and given the footprint that the Clarius Group has across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, build the Candle brand in other geographic regions.”
The recruiter was a preferred supplier "to over 100 major ASX listed organisation which include IBM, Telstra, Westpac & Optus", according to an employee's LinkedIn profile.
“More and more we are seeing our clients looking for different levels and types of service delivery as dictated by the volume of their needs," Trevor said.
"No longer can IT recruitment offer one type of service to all clients. In recognition of this, we have taken the opportunity to tailor what we do around the changing needs of not only clients, but IT professionals.”

The change was driven in part by growing competition in the market, Trevor said.
