$70M raised since inception.

Angel network TEN13 has doubled in size to 550 investors and aims to reach $100 million in funds under management.

Initially starting out as an extension of Shark Tank's Stephen Baxter’s private investment fund in 2020, the fund has since raised $70 million, supported 32 start-ups, including two unicorns and one exit.

According to Stew Glynn, managing partner and co-founder, “Hitting 550 investors is a major milestone for the company and the fuel we need to power into our next phase of growth. It proves our network-based model is gaining momentum and will help us reach our goal of raising $100 million in the next year.”

TEN13’s model brings together investment expertise from founders and operators of some of Australia’s most successful start-ups, as well as from global businesses.

Early investors in the group include employees from Atlassian and Canva, and operators from Airbnb, Uber, Stripe, Woolworths and Google.

Glynn stressed that the quality of the members is critical to sophisticated investing.

“We continue to have an incredibly supportive investor community made up of founders, operators, executives and family offices that offer advice and support based on their own extensive experience in investments,” he said.

New investors include the CEO of Chris Hemsworth’s fitness app Centr, Zsofi Paterson, and founder of TechnologyOne, Adrian Di Marco.

“What initially drew me to invest with TEN13 was the deal-by-deal model as it not only offers access, but also flexibility and choice. They provide great exposure and opportunities to invest in global and emerging markets. Being a part of the TEN13 community allows you to learn about the way other investors think about opportunities, and build your own network amongst other like-minded peers as well,” said Paterson.

TEN13 has also doubled its operational team bring onboard analysts from Artesian, and Stake to support its growth and expansion. Its executive team has also grown, with the appointments of Seamus Crawford as investment principal, Alexandra Grigg, investment associate, Alexander Barrat, investment analyst and content, and Elise Cannal, investor relations associate.
