This week marks the 25th anniversary of the launch of handheld mobiles by Telstra, then Telecom. We decided to take a look back at one of the popular models, compared to today's choices.

The Walkabout TM was one of three handheld mobile phones launched by Telecom on 23 February, 1987. At the time, it cost $5,200.
