Trapeze networks, which offers wireless networking products for the enterprise, has named Douglas Laird its vice president of worldwide marketing.

He joins from enterprise compliance firm Virsa, and has also held senior level marketing positions at Oracle and Novell. In his new role, he is charged with developing the company's marketing strategy and building the Trapeze brand.
