BindView adds patching to its products

IT Security company BindView Corp has entered in to an agreement with patch management specialists Shavlik Technologies to OEM its patch management technology into Bindviews Vulnerability management and policy compliance products. 

As part of the agreement, BindView will use Shavlik security technologies to provide customers with enhanced threat analysis tools, comprehensive patch prioritization ranking for Windows-based servers and desktops and a robust patch deployment solution. 

BindView will also integrate Shavlik's HFNetChkPro for automated, real-time patch management capabilities into its Vulnerability Management and Policy Compliance solutions, allowing security professionals to quickly and easily eliminate vulnerabilities associated with unpatched systems.
