Unilever confirmed last month that it is discussing outsourcing parts of its finance, human resources and IT operations to Accenture and IBM. An outsourcing agreement would apply chiefly to Unilever's European staff.

Security market growing

A recent study of security markets from the Yankee Group says that companies will outsource 90 percent of security operations by 2010. This would grow the market for managed security services to $3.7 billion.
