The former CIO of packaging giant Visy and pioneer of its $20 million online product ordering system VisyFlow has joined software vendor, SolveIT.
Richard Spitty joins as director of supply chain and will oversee SolveIT's products for planning, scheduling and supply chain optimisation.
Spitty is no stranger to supply chain software development. Visy credits him as pioneer of VisyFlow, an e-business system that allows customers to place orders into Visy's database.
Spitty said he would be involved in the establishment of the SolveIT's Melbourne office "in the coming months".
Visy is a SolveIT customer.
