Unisys has won a three-year $41 million extension to a long-running IT services contract covering 90 Queensland TAFE campuses.
The services firm said it would continue to provide IT services for students, teachers and administrators at the campuses and the Australian Agricultural College.
It covers support for approximately 330 servers and 19,000 desktops, wide area network management and helpdesk services.
Unisys said it planned to introduce "new and improved processes and toolsets" for service, change, problem and asset management under the new contract.
"Under the renewal, we are committed to implementing a modernised solution that adopts new tools to enable greater levels of automation, improved service levels and efficiency," a spokesman said.
The Unisys-Queensland Department of Education and Training relationship has so far spanned 12 years.
The new contract runs for three years with two potential one-year extensions. The value of these extensions was not disclosed.
